All of these are worth about 3.50 with their crippled ram size. I've resorted to upgrading the ram in all of my gimp routers. Most have 16mb-64mb, depending on what fit. The flash is still limiting but at least micro plus works.

Well, for what I am doing, micro is just fine.

I found a satellite dish yesterday by the side of the road, Got a Sanyo Ku-band LNB on it too.

Doesn't look like there's anything wrong with it (though I am far from being an expert) - maybe it'll be useful when my country switches to digital TV soon.

got a dv9000 at a yardsale today.$10.
750 gb hdd and 4gb ram.
oh and a ton of mp3's and porn.belonged to a collage kid.several years of mischief stored on the hdd and dumped at the sale unseen.i am sure if mommy and daddy would have even turned it on they would have seen the wallpaper they would have dug deeper and hit the motherload.time to reflow the nvidia and reload.

20, 8 cell Dell packs (160 batteries of which so far 2 in 8 are bad and which makes the pack fail the check) But the rest are good and hold a charge fine so Im still looking for someone that has forked out the $150+ for the software to reprogram a couple of packs for me and keep all the rest for themself.

Got an Asus Eee PC "4G Surf" today.... (and no that has nothing to do with 4G internet data connection unfortuntely)...used but working, got it for $10!!
700MHz Celeron M, 512MB RAM, some weird Linux thing, 4GB SSD... 7"screen

Got an Asus Eee PC "4G Surf" today.... (and no that has nothing to do with 4G internet data connection unfortuntely)...used but working, got it for $10!!
700MHz Celeron M, 512MB RAM, some weird Linux thing, 4GB SSD... 7"screen

find a better linux disro for it... the stock distro did the linux community more harm than good (it is possibly the world's worst example of linux).

for $10, not bad... but if i were to invest in one for serious use, i would go for an eee 900... virtually the same footprint with a 9"screen (no black border) and better storage (larger ssd, some had SATA 2.5" hdds)

I have one of the convertible minitower units... if I ever get a decent (nicer than 5200fx) agp 8x card, it will not be a bad basement box. the PSUs are delta, too.

for that small of a screen, I would use something like one of the light versions of easy peasy. the light ones are designed for the constraints of the 700 series like you have

We have 2 or 3 of these at work. They are almost identical to the DC5000, except the DC5000 doesn't have an AGP slot and a floppy drive. Apart from that, I didn't notice any other difference.
Nice little machines with HT, but both the motherboard (Asus P4SD I think) and the PSU are a mixed bag of good and bad caps (mostly bad, actually).
If you recap them, make sure to do the PSU as well - I saw quite a few with bulging OST and Samxon GF caps inside. A full recap of the motherboard is also recommended as I've seen nearly every brand of cap bulge in these, regardless of where it was located. The only exception were Pannies.

By the way, the computer I got 2 weeks ago with the ECS P4IBMS motherboard is dead. Voltage in the VRM low-side is always seems to be about 0.2v less than what it should be - probably because of those 2 missing caps. The CPU is nice, though - 2 GHz P4 Northwood.

These are the d530 ultra-slims. They have an oddball shaped motherboard, doesnt appear to be an asus OEM, completely proprietary, and doesn't have the typical Asus characteristics....thats not to say Asus didn't make it....but it's sure not looking like one. Yes they do have Delta PSU's. I've only worked on one. PSU was full of teapo caps, none were bad and the PSU was working....but I recapped it anyway. I polymodded the board, just for shits and grins. CPU is a 2.6/800FSB w/ HT. Will make a decent little internet browser/emailer for someone. Lab rat 1 is downloading updates as we speak.
