While all the 'doomsday' killing it didn't happen, AFAIK M$ did infact buy the parent company. Lots of information out there on this....Trust me, I'd love to find out its not true!

Finally someone here realized I was yanking their chain....I've fed quite a few into buying that when they're posting the usual "install linux" in a thread where someone is asking about a windows issue (yes, devious & counter-productive, but I hate those kind of responses). You just wrecked it all, now I can't do this anymore!

actually microsoft has a long track recoed of acquiring rivals after being sued for pirating their products or breaching their patents!

I did hear that MS had bought Ubuntu . I still like the distro . I am using to make this post ,There are other distros .

i test bedded W10 v1903....with everything I could possibly find disabled, svchost.exe is periodically downloading from 'map2.hwcdn'...no clue what this is.... ...otherwise, its been pretty quiet...

map2.hwcdn.net is listed as belonging to Highwinds Network Group, Inc. Their cloud storage could be serving the updates
