Hi Guys, I have a Dell XPS One 2720 AIO with a strange problem, more often than not when i boot up i get a totally black screen, no Dell splash screen, i have discovered that if the PC is left on for approximately 20 mins or so and i press the Keyboard or Mouse the login screen appears and the PC works fine until turned off again, I suspect that the problem may be related to the onboard nVidia graphic chip. I have tested the Ram out of system and its fine, i have tried booting with H/D, DVD disconnected, no luck, I have removed the CMOS battery and left the system sitting unplugged over night, shorted the CMOS battery contacts and even tried a new CMOS battery, same thing. most recently i tried a reflow on the graphic chip without success, PSU has also been tested. If the problem was due to faulty Graphic chip would it still work OK the way it is now when it eventually comes on, is there a possibility some other component could be the culprit, a visual inspection of the Mobo + its daughter boards all look perfectly normal, almost all caps are metal type. I can put the PC into sleep mode instead of shutting down and all is grand but if reboot is required at any stage after updates or installing new software i'm back to the black screen issue again, any thoughts or recommendations would be most thankful, many thanks in advance guys.

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.
This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen... -

I am a pro and I have a problem that I have never seen despite my 7.5 years of experience on my own and my thousands of repairs, on a customer's Dell G3 15 3500.
On this PC I have already changed the complete palmrest because the keyboard was no longer working properly.
I also changed the screen because the PC fell and the screen was broken.
I changed the battery with a new and original battery.
I also had corrosion/oxidation on the... -
by siuras676Hi everyone,
I have a Dell XPS 9320 in for repair, and the machine has a strange issue.
First, a bit of history: the laptop came in after liquid damage and was completely dead. I've repaired all the broken traces, replaced the damaged components, and it now powers on.
However, it's now showing a Windows blue screen related to hardware (as seen in the picture), along with another Dell error I've never seen before.
Has anyone encountered this issue on a Dell machine before and could point me in the right direction? I've checked the power rails around...2 Photos -

Good guys.
I have this problem with this Dell notebook, it has that distortion on the screen as you can see in the photo. has it ever happened to you?
I present the tests and measurements that I already did:
I tried with another screen and it does the same thing, I also put this screen on another one and it looks perfect.
I checked the LVDS flex that goes to the display and it is perfect
Through HDMI output the image looks perfect
All power lines were measured...09-29-2023, 06:46 AM - Loading...
