Re: help me guyz to update my bios.
Many BIOS are updated through Win Flash. Your new processor will most likely boot up your system so you can flash it through Windows.
An alternative is using a USB floppy drive.
The manufacturers have removed floppies so they can save a dime, but this is seriously stupid. If you support computer systems for a living, you should already have a USB floppy (and USB cdrom).
You can build a DOS bootable flash disk, but this is more diddling around. Buy or borrow a USB floppy drive. Painless.. cheap.. easy.

by abhorsenHey guys,
Hope you all are doing well. I come here from Win-Raid because I am having issues disabling Flash Protection Range Registers so I can flash my BIOS from within Windows using Intel's IFW tool/using flashrom within Linux, however I cannot due to the above mentioned error.
Here is my thread on Win-Raid detailing the whole process I went through: https://winraid.level1techs.com/t/re...h-gen/95478/27
Essentially I managed to boot into Windows while shorting PINs 1+5 of my audio chip to disable the HAP bit...-

by mikeybassHi, I hope some one has some advice for me. I searched the forums but didn't see anything relevant. I acquired two identical Dell 9010 Mid Tower computers from a business office upgrade (they were going to throw them out). Both of them have the same motherboard (00F82W). One of them works flawlessly. The other one had a corrupted BIOS. I tried flashing numerous main BIOS and EC files from the internet, but none of them worked. I decided to copy the main BIOS and EC from the working 9010 computer and successfully flashed the corrupted BIOS. This got the computer able to boot again and run norm...

by akwkyHi!
Went dumpster-diving and found a bricked Lenovo P14S in trash, few weeks earlier. Symptoms - no screen, no POST, no beep, just keyboard LEDs flashing on powerup. Mute button+LED was responding though, and the display self-test was still working (via the key combo Ctrl+Fn+Power held for some seconds, see the Service manual).
Incidentally, Windows 11 have recently started auto-flashing computer BIOS in our region. Even more suspiciously, Lenovo has released a BIOS update just few days before the PC was trashed. About a week later, the BIOS update image has been oficially marked...04-14-2025, 01:56 PM -
by TyMercerApologies if this is the wrong forum, but I'm not looking for a specific BIOS file, I'm trying to understand how one makes a clean BIOS file. So here's the background. I have 2 HP EliteDesk 800 g2 mini 35w pcs. One is working fine; the other doesn't have display out or working USB's nor does it have any flashing error lights. The CPU does get worm enough to cause the fan to spin up, so I think it's posting, but I just don't know. I had it working at one point but trouble started when I tried to put in a drive caddy that had a cooling fan on it. I thought it would be compatible but wasn't...

by maanee11Hello Everyone,
I have HUAWEI MateBook X Pro 2019 (MACH-WX9) whose BIOS got corrupted i beleive. I have acquired Ch341A SPI flasher to program the BIOS externally. I see that to program the BIOS, i need BIOS bin/hex file which i could use to reflash it externally via the flasher tool.
It seems like the support page of this model no longer exist: https://consumer.huawei.com/be/lapto...ro-2019/specs/
In the website, you can only see specs etc.
I have not tried to extract the BIOS dump yet as I want to see if there is any ray of sunshine...1 Photo-
