    Re: dl380 g4

yeah its maybe too complicated for its own good. whilst startup may be thought of in a typical bios way, some stuff may be separately hardware based instead. i hope its the bloody board, otherwise there is the vrm and backplane although they are not so expensive. i did not think the backplane was very advanced so i did not consider to replace that.

i am rethinking my strategy for the future though. what is the point of all this special stuff when it just fails and makes things difficult to repair. i would rather have a bunch of generic crap and very good backup. a bit like webhosting. thanks to linux can just connect a new server and up again without any active directory pdc shit. at the moment they are using just a piece of crap pii 300 running centos without gui.

yes you are correct about the ups. indeed this problem occur after i boot it on the ups which previously show battery fault. i checked it with a junk pc before i connected the server though. i will check this time with multimeter. i dont expect a problem though.

still at least i learnt this servers hardware a bit better than before after doing all this troubleshooting and taking it apart....

        Nice to read this.
If an employee complains the server will be down for the time needed for the replacement, then block his mouth with an apple

              Cyberpower cps1500avr not charging batteries
              by carrzkiss
              Hello, all.

              Cyberpower Battery Backup Unit.

I bought two new ML18-12 batteries through Amazon (They have already refunded my money for the two batteries as we thought the batteries might have been bad.)
When I got them in, they were not fully charged. I connected them to the UPS and waited 24 hours before connecting any networking equipment.
In parallel, they read 24v, but within 24 hours, the meter on the front of the unit dropped from 4 to 3 bars on the battery charge indicator.
Checking the voltage, it was down to 22v.
              I quickly removed everything...

Troubleshooting of redundant F750E-S0 Dell PowerEdge Server
              by omega
              Hello all,
as a beginner electronics hobbyist, after a few years I would like to place another post on this Forum section, given that I did not succeed in finding any useful advice among the other posts.

Over the last years, I have been using a PowerEdge Dell Server with two redundant PSUs, namely the 750W F750E-S0 ones (aka 06W2PW). Unfortunately, last summer one of them failed (perhaps owing to an overheating), and the server had for working to take into account the other one only. Of course I opened and tried to troubleshoot the failed PSU, but each cap I tested seemed to...

Where do repair shops buy MB replacement batteries?
              by howardc64
Order my parts from mobilesentrix.com and iPhone batteries have been excellent. Recently got 3x bad A1534 (2015) batteries. All would work until ~30-40+% and drop to < 10% instantly. Typical sign of cheap batteries.

Perhaps the less popular A1534 model's aftermarket batteries are more source limited. Just find it surprising quality from mobilesentrix (usually fairly high quality aftermarket parts) have been so poor.

BTW, this isn't the only defective parts I've had from mobilesentrix. Amongst others including iPad Air touch screen and A1989 touch bar (display was...

Fixing the Charge Circuit of the Batteries of the DC Motor
              by Astonished
              Hi friends of electronics

What you see in the video and pictures attached is the circuit for charging the batteries of a DC motor.

The problem is that this circuit cannot charge the batteries (3 1800mAH NiMH batteries) any more. When the circuit was OK, its green LEDs lit up one at a time to show that the batteries have charged more. But now that the circuit is flawed, LEDs light up as you see in the video and at the same time successive beeps are heard.

Please help me fix this circuit.
