Well, this will actually be for an audio application (modifying my Delta 1010 soundcard). I have heard good things about Rubycon ZA for audio, but it's no longer being made. The ZLG is the closest Rubycon substitute for the ZA, that's why I'm looking for it.
for non snakeoil audiophool recaps in vintage gear i use panasonic fc.
did a recap on a marantz 2285 with blackgates in the right and fc in the left.
i sleeved them so looking at it wouldnt give it away.
10 folks i know listened and could not tell the difference.they are very picky and babble lots of audiophool crap.
Is it just me or does everybody in here feel that the "special for audio" caps are a huge scam? Till date I've not seen any difference in sound quality after repair. I had a dude try to school me on static hiss and the quality of components/caps blah blah...turned out to be an improper ground. From that day, I've been calling BS on all these hyper ultra super cap theories.

i am not saying there is no difference but unless you are looking with fancy test gear they are not worth the 10-20x markup over plain fc.
nobody i know can hear any difference.
audiophools buy overpriced crap for bragging rights.
with that kind of money being spent for bling someone will always produce products to cash in.
