Zalman does not offer a 120mm fan State-Side. If I wanted a fan of quality with quiet in mind, the Scythe S-Flex would be on the short list.
Note: Your link offers no pics.

I did see replacement fans for sale that will fit the 9500 series HS coolers but they are 92mm.

        Re: Zalman 120 mm fan

The last Zalman fans I bought were the 80X15 units for $3 each.

This is the first 120 Zalman I've seen. To the best of my knowledge, Zalman fans are generally ball bearing, fairly quiet, will start/run @ 5V. I'd buy'em at that price if I needed them. If you were State-Side, I'd recommend looking at the Arctic Cooling fans for cheap at provantage.com.

That pic shows this 120 as a two wire fan, as best I can tell.

            by piernov
My turn to post a build I guess, wasted way too much time on this one…

Everything done with random parts I had lying around.

            Specs :

            • RAM: 2x2GB KHX6400D2K2
            • GPUs: 2x Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTS G80 320MB
            • MB: P5N-E SLI
            • PSU: Antec Basiq Power 550 Plus
            • HDD: Hitachi Ultrastar A7K2000 1TB
            • ODDs: DVD ROM, DVD RW
            • Case: not sure

            Cooling:
            • 92mm rear fan
            • 120mm front fan

Zalman ZM500-GV stops after 40s and 5VSB drops to 2.5V
            by socketa
            Rescued this one
Started it up in the computer case, and noticed that it would shut down after about 10s in the BIOS
Took it out, connected to hard drive and it loses all power on all rails (except for 5VSB) after about 40s or so. (the same result happens without a hard drive connected)
The 5VSB drops to 2.5V when it 'shuts down'
And the voltage across the primary cap falls from 335V to 330V at the same moment
I think that the 5VSB is regulated by an A6069H PWM chip (which was initially dropping to 2.5V even before the the PS-ON was grounded - but it now stays at...

            Cooling experts wanted.... (with pictures)

So if you have been following my urine odor saga with my new PC, I believe I finally found out what is happening, my Northbridge heatsink is getting quite toasty, and other people online with my motherboard say the VRM's get hot as well. That may be the source of the odor I am smelling.

            Current setup
The case has 3 fan openings, a 120mm front, a 120mm side, and a 92mm rear. Currently the only fan installed is the 120mm front. The CPU cooler has a side mounted 92mm fan on it (and that cooler is very cool, CPU temps are great). The only exhaust is from the PSU

            Zalman ZM600-HP crackling noise
            by DJduck
            Hello!

Been a while since I've posted on this forum.
I bought a dead Zalman ZM600-HP for 5€, hoping to fix it for my new-to-me AMD FX build. Powering it on at first it showed no signs of life. Opened it up and found the fuse was blown. Going down along the circuit revealed three shorted MOSFETs on the PFC heatsink and the two primary switching MOSFETs were giving funny readings as well. Replaced all five and tested everything else, everything seemed to be reading OK. Replaced the fuse and assembled the unit. +5VSB read good. Powered it on, fan comes on, lights come on,...

Zalman Fanmate-2 speed controller crashed my PC
            by redwire
Sometimes I'd hear a coil whine which kept getting lower in pitch until poof blue screen on a PC.

Tried everything, thought it was VRM instability and basically lived with it for 2 years.
Other day I hear the whine again and rip the PC apart and find a cooling fan stalled and whistling. Nudge the fan it works, no whistle.

Investigated and Zalman Fanmate-2 speed controller is a piece of garbage.
Uses a linear 7805 regulator, no capacitors anywhere.

So what happened is the 7805 would oscillate and the fan would whistle, I think sending bogus high...
