i have a dell optiplex 745 motherboard.when i plug in power it does not turns on but only led with orange colour is on. what part on motherboard should i check

which 745 is this? the big one, the small one, or the medium one?
Anyway have you checked the capacitors?

which caps should i check because i doest, see any blugged cap at all.it is a mini tower

Take a close look at the two intel chipset chips. See if they are discolored or cracked from over heating. I have seen a lot of trouble with dell and older chipsets.

ok we're skipping the obvious, do you have any other ram, processors, an power supplies to use to replace and make sure they're not bad? dells orange light if you have a bad memory stick or cpu, and sometimes power supply

ya by changing all these things ram cpu ps i have been checked al ready .i have 7 mobo with same problem.i am clear on this that it is not a ps problem
