Anyone know which year of Sanyo OS-CON SP/SS/SC/SA/SL/SH start to put into production line? Any information about this? Thanks.

I have OSCONs in my 1997 notebook so they must exist more than 10 years.

I have problem to identify os-con capacitors...at first i thought they were in a metal case without plastic cover...but then i found out that they exist normal electrolytic capacitors like that (chip capacitors?!)

is there any standard way to identify them?!

all caps are like that. they have a can. then if they like they put a sleeve with the graphics on them (like most of the time) or in the case of nichicon HD (non polymer) they have no pvc sleeve in that case to be more environmental.

polymer caps dont need vents on the top of the can so for some series they are printing on the top of the can. for instance the oscon SEPC, SEP, SVP and the chemicon PS, PSA or PSC etc.

but oscon SP series which are also polymer have the classic purple sleeve on them

anyway oscon SP series etc with purple sleeve say oscon and SP on them there is no problem to identify them.

the SEPC with no sleeve which you might find on vcore have clearly SEPC written on the top of them. check the spec sheets.

I got a photo from another forum with 620uF 6.3v. However, i can't find any spec. of 620uF 6.3v from all Sany OS-CON(TNCQ). Any know tell me the OSCON catalogues have been change or not? May be it is fake? 330uF 6.3v is sure real OS-CON, because pull out from a Compaq sever mobo.

By this reason, i want to know when is OS-CON(TNCQ) start to put into production line?

All the other capacitors even without sleeve they are normal electrolytics...right? (i have seen in graphics cards big capacitors without sleeve and i'm confused)

I did some searching for 620uF OS-CON units, and there are 620uF OS-CON units out there.

Have some Pentium II Xeon and Dual Board laying around, it is equiped with 23 Oscon caps. Duno who made this board, it says E186194. Sadly only one CPU, if inwould have a second this would probably my working & surfing rig
I think they are pretty old.
