    Advice for video editing software....

I need a video editing software that needs to be able to possess these qualities:

--Can handle MPEG 2 files without crashing
--Works on Windows XP and a Core 2 Duo
--Needs to be cheap (or free)

That is about it. Anyone have any ideas?

I used Pinnacle studio V9 a few years ago. Worked great in my opinion.

Re: Advice for video editing software....

For simple editing, I prefer to use dgindex to index the mpeg files and then write an Avisynth script which loads that index file.

I can do basic cuts and some postprocessing, and then load this avisynth script into various encoding programs - these programs would see the video as a completely uncompressed (raw) video file.

Copy DMI info easily with Hex editing software and Macro script
          by SMDFlea
Copying DMI information from an old bios to a new one is difficult for some members, often they have no experience with a hex editor,or some that have tried find it too hard. There is an option to make things easier for those members so that they don`t need to post their own bios backup for the DMI copying.

Experienced bios modding members can help by posting in other threads the DMI offsets, macro script generated by the software and a download link to the software at softpedia mentioned in this guide,or post your macros in the comments here with a link to the bios request thread ....

          by Hakuu
          Hi There,

This TV was auto switching off after few seconds with some vertical lines on the screen, so got a new TCON board and replaced it.

After replacing the TCON board it was working fine and i set it up with everything, used for few hours, then had the bright idea to update the software on it. During the update process, TV switched off and now no audio or video. No relay switch sound.

          More Details

This is from my son’s gaming computer that at first had minor overheating issues when playing a very intense game with it causing the computer to crash or reboot

Gigabyte Z690 UD AX DDR4 distingusihing failures+default video
          by japlytic
On this motherboard with a CPU (requiring discrete graphics) supported by the BIOS (version F3) and a new video card, it has a beep code indicating a CPU failure while the onboard diagnostic LEDs indicate a video system failure and using a different motherboard of the same model had the same result despite confiriming that the new video card along with the power supply as well as the connected display/cable was operational in another system.
So therefore, I've found that the Video diagnostic LED illuminated before CPU diagnostics were performed and since the CPU has failed, video diagnostics...

Samsung UN55MU6103F video problem; has colored stripes on the display
          by alro7779
          Hello, everyone!

A co-worker gave me a 55-inch Samsung TV model UN55MU6103F so I can try to fix the following problem... As soon as I plug it in to the wall, the TV turns on, and the display shows a few stripes all over the screen. I took off the back cover and disconnected both ribbon cables that go to the display (one at a time) so by doing that I can narrow down the bad section of the problem, but in both cases the display turns black. I know there are some voltages that I have to check (VGH, VGL, etc.) but don't know what reading each has to show. If anyone could guide me on this,...
