    Rackmounting without a rack

Seems a bit counter-intuitive, but I want to stack several rackmount servers on top of each other... but not in a rack.
Or I want to make a cheap rack because for a stupid pile of metal they're a ripoff...
Is it OK to put them on top of each other? I mean, they seem flat enough!
    Thanks

if the chassis is strong enough, it should be able to support it. just put the largest ones below. otherwise, often places have surplus racks and stuff you can find on craigslist and your local university.

it looks good enough to stack on. i assume a 4U case has enough support structure. congrats on the PSU heh

I'm thinking of pickup up two of those 4U cases that I linked to a few posts up.
                Also been checking craigslist.
