We have many recappers here (for obvious reasons), and we all have boards we love to recap and look forward to working on, and then there's boards that we just HATE to see, let alone recap....
My personal favorite board is the FV24/FV25... They are quick, easy, and I've NEVER had one end up as a dud.
my most HATED is the Dell 400SC........ I've had a rash of these lately, and they're just a PITA to work with. I also reworked another Dell P4 board (forgot the model), that had a HUGE heatsink over the caps that had failed. I had to desolder this heatsink just to get to the bad caps.... It took me longer to remove the board from the tray and remove the heatsink than it took to replace the caps.....
Ahhh, I've vented. I now feel better!
