I've seen that before, twice from hooking up the front usb backwards (oops) and once from plugging in a fried sony digital camera

he said it probably shorted via a standoff to the case. that is a fuse? personally i dont believe that it shorted that way? lovely rubycon ZL all over the place as well but couldnt help that one.
