Hello everyone,
I need step-by-step guidance for an issue I’m facing. I’m a technician, and I have several Microsoft Surface Laptop 4 and Surface Laptop 5 devices that were MDM-locked through Autopilot.
There is no BIOS password, and I successfully removed the Autopilot lock using PowerShell. The laptops now work fine, but the BIOS still shows “Managed by: ABC Company” under the Management section.
I would like to know how to remove this management information from the BIOS without changing the serial number. I’ve searched a lot but couldn’t find any...11-02-2025, 09:24 AM -
This audio chipset has been a pain to deal with, most of the time its impossible to find drivers for chinese laptops that have no name/brand, or generic rebranded laptops.
Huawei also started to use it BUT they no longer host drivers on their website since they want you to force their PC manager app that often refuses to install after bios flashing and apparently the generic drivers around wont work on some intel systems and others wont work on amd systems, the generic ones have worked only once and i think i have had this problem on 30+ laptops so far in the last year.02-21-2025, 12:33 AM -
I have had an issue that I've never come across in all my years of laptop repairs and it has happened twice in the last couple of weeks. The issue occurred on 2 laptops.
1. The first laptop a Lenovo Yoga 7 convertible 14 inch 13th gen i7. This laptop came in working, customer wanted to replace the top keyboard assembly for cosmetic reasons so I replaced the keyobard assembly and put their touchpad in it. I'm requesting a bios .bin for 2 of my hp Probook 450 G3's. Both of which I had forgotten the bios passwords. I stupidly flashed both of them with firmware "made" by the RCUnlocker software and I guess I shouldn't have. The last thing I did was flash both of them with RCUnlocker-fw thinking it would 100% work and left my programmer etc behind and won't have access to them for another 2 days so I figured I'd create a thread to see if I'd be so lucky that someone might have a working file laying around 😝

I have microsoft surface 1867 locked by organisation. When i try reinstall system, in moment connect to the Internet, it asks for for company email and pass. Can anyone fix it?
