    poly cap value....

hello everybody, wel ive been tyring to fix certain board model and out of curiosity i wanted to test this poly cap i found in em.... i know i do not have the appropiate testing tools, but the mm normally gives me an approximate value, and i was really surprised to see this......

Im wondering if this could be some damage to the cap, or if should not rely on this tester...? or am i doing something wrong in here??

Poly VVX-250 VOIP POE problem not booting fix
    by CapLeaker
I've got a bunch of Poly VVX-250 VOIP phones that work fine as kind as long as they are plugged into the wall wart. Recently I got around to install a couple of TP-Link 5 port POE switches that are added to the existing plain Jane 24 port unmanaged switch. Great!!! Finally I am able to ditch the wall warts from these phones making more space on the desk, plus I am gaining some badly needed power outlets. So I thought.

Plugged in the first VVX-250 into the POE switch, booted up no problem. Plugged in the other Poly phones and they start to boot anywhere from 5 to 15 seconds,...

    3300uf 6.3V Poly recpaing
    by xnRS
I got an old AM2 board with 3300uf 6.3v badcaps(all). So I want to change them with poly ones. Can you give me advice which capacity should I use ? I saw on one russian forum(rom.by) that capacity of poly should be around third of current leaky caps, but I'm not sure.

Japanese 3DO with leaking caps - (nearly) full poly replacement
    by Blag
Hi all, I've got a 1994 Japanese Panasonic 3DO with 2 leaking caps. Since all the caps are now 25 years old I decided to swap them all before more of them start to leak.
To reduce the danger of another leakage in the future I decided to swap every possible cap with a poly cap.
Has anyone here done that already and give me some hints?

I found a "fitting" (voltage, uF and measurements) poly cap for all but 3 caps. The largest cap is a 6800 uF 25v cap, since there aren't any 6800er polys I'll get a high quality electrolyte one with a higher temp rating. The...

Are these older style Sanyo Poly's?
    by jayjr1105
Pulled these from an AGP graphics card so maybe 2001 or so. They test fine with 0.00 ESR. Just curious. I assume Poly because no vent marks for expansion.

Panasonic TH-50AS700 - Can I rely on LED tester results?
    by senakahks
Hi, I am new to TV repair and I have Panasonic TH-50AS700 TV to repair. It goes off when I change the HDMI cable or sometimes it goes off itself after some time, say half an hour. Once it goes off, the red bulb blinks continuously (should be a single blink) and can't turn on using the remote. When I turn off from the wall, it works again.

I tested LEDs without opening the case by giving supply of a Chinese LED tester via a ribbon cable. all inputs yields the same voltage. Does that say all LED strips are good?
