My plasma has good sound but no picture. the first 10 t0 15min there are vertical lines on the left side which when the picture is on you can see something to the right there are no pictures. after that time delay the picture disappears and you can see shadows as the whole screeen will be black. ANY SOLUTIONS could it be the 250v 1000uf capacitor seen here bulging.

Re: Samsung S42SD-YD05
I can't access pictures. Are you sure you uploaded them correctly?
All I see is the small thumbnail. When I click on it, I get nothing loaded.
From the 2nd pic, it looks like the cap is bloated, but I can't be 100% sure until a bigger picture is loaded.

If you are new to this forum, we can help a lot more if you please post clear focused pictures (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) of your boards using the manage attachments button so they are hosted here. Information and picture clarity compositions should look like this post.
We respectfully ask that you make some time and effort to read some of the guides available for basic troubleshooting. After you have read through them, then ask clarification questions or report your findings.
Please do not post inline and offsite as they slow down the loading of pages.

Re: Samsung S42SD-YD05
Wow, I get the same thing here. Dont know what's causing it but I cant click on the pictures either. I never had that before. But anyways....
Please dont get frustrated, but we would love to see those pics and a whole host of individuals would love to lend you a hand. We are itching to see them.
I am just posting a pic to see if it will take.
OK. The difference is that it says attatched image vs attached thumbnail. Make sure your picture files are the extensions that are listed just above "Manage Attachments"Last edited by Dgtech; 06-15-2010, 07:32 PM.The strong-minded rise to the challenge of their goals, the weak-minded BECOME HATERS

- when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.

by JJAAMMThis was my main TV for the last 6 years. I'm not inclined to throw out a $2600 TV so quickly so I'm trying to investigate the issue.
Problem
TV was disconnected from power for 6 months during construction. When I plugged it yesterday picture was fine, after 30 seconds it dimmed then started developing horizontal lines, picture then starts to ghost vertically until it degrades into vertical streaks. TV always displays a perfect picture when cold. I can unplug TV for 5 minutes and plug it back in and picture is restored for 20 seconds. I can also keep it in standby mode... -
by MgiffuneI have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.
I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and... -
by DodgethisHello all,
This is my first post, but long term lurker on the form learning as much as possible about these TV's. I was given this TV as due to a power outage of constant On/off of power to TV. The TV originally would just click on and off (Typical Reboot Cycle). I opened the back of the TV, and troubleshooted by taking the 96 pin LVDS off one at a time to see if I had a picture on either side. I finally fixed the reboot cycle by finding the error on the left side of the screen off connector CN 1301, and the TV would stay on. Further troubleshooting led me to the driver boards where...5 Photos - Loading...
