    Re: P5E-VM DO Cap replacement

yea thanks for editing and updating your post by stating the series of the caps (tmv) in your post. and yes, that is a known problematic series by chemicon.

suitable replacements would be the panasonic oscon sepc series, chemicon npcap psc series or nichicon fpcap L8 series.

also measure the dimensions of the existing tmv caps. what is their diameter and height? 8x8mm? getting a cap of the right height here is important because i believe they are around the cpu socket, right? so they cannot be too tall or else they will violate the processor keep out zone and block the installation of the heatsink due to their height.

remember to measure the size of the existing caps first before ordering. a common mistake here when ordering caps is ordering a cap that is too large and doesnt fit.

Unknown transformer : how to find a good replacement part ?
        by the_rem
        Hello guys,

I would like a quite old but still good 800 W ATX PSU to be repaired. The problem was an extremely heavy coil whine coming from the small secondary transfomer on the PCB.

I desoldered it hoping the references on the upper side would allow me to find a adequate replacement part. Sadly the written references drove me nowhere but to the manufacturer (I-MAG). I sent them a message like a bottle in the see asking them to send me a datasheet of the transformer. And... They responded ! I received a kind of datasheet (see attachment) but my competencies do not allow...

Macbook pro logic board replacement parts quesion
        by boosti45
i have a 2020 macbook pro 13" A2251 with 820-09149 logic board so i found an issue with chip labeled U6903 according to schem. boardview using flexBV software, so i removed it from the board and the issue im having is that the chip says "07A08FI ELC180" on top of it but when searching for a replacement chip, i can find tons of identical looking chips that also have "ELC180" printed on them but the first set of digits is never the same so im trying to find out if i need this exact chip with these same numbers as mine and if not which ones are compatible as a replacement?...

Pioneer VXS-D902S Reciever - Filter Capacitor Question
        by grimacelord
        Hello,

I have a Pioneer VSX-D902S receiver that I am trying to replace the 2 large 8200uF 80V filter capacitors on.

I have already removed the capacitors and ordered replacements, but I made a mistake in ordering. The original capacitors are Pioneer ACH1202 80v 8200uF and have 4 pins. The capacitor replacements I bought are Nichicon 80v 8200uF and only have 2 pins.

I was wondering if I could still use my replacements even though they only have 2 pins. Obviously I'd have to extend the pins of the capacitor to allow them to reach and fit through the...

Is there any Diode Replacement for MPG06J?
        by chth96
is there any replacement for MPG06J diode?
        https://www.vishay.com/docs/88682/mpg06.pdf

It is very hard to find this MPG06J diode in my place.
I think that replacement should have the same ratings with MPG06J, But it is impossible for me to hunt down replacement for MPG06J diode.
        Any reply would be appreciated.

        Drop-in replacement for STR-W6052S?
        by tfm
The main board of this LG washing and drying machine was damaged due to overvoltage. It is rated for 127V and was powered on 380V.

Inicial visual inspection revealed that only some components at the input of the SMPS were damaged:

Ironically, both fuses are intact. Probably the X2 cap and the bridge are also damaged. The whole board is immersed in an epoxy resin. I am removing it so I get access to the components.

The SMPS is built around an STR-W6052S, which is discontinued and I can't get a replacement....
