    Chemi-Con caught price fixing

And there was also a price fixing case involving Rubycon: https://www.justice.gov/atr/case/us-...on-corporation
My first choice in quality Japanese electrolytics is Nippon Chemi-Con, which has been in business since 1931... the quality of electronics is dependent on the quality of the electrolytics.

    Rubycon and others: https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/three...tic-capacitors

    Also Nichicon: https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/seven...tic-capacitors

17 years of price fixing and Nichicon joined the conspiracy for around 10 years, getting a $42M criminal fine.

Original XBOX Cap ripple current range
        by swofra
        Hey all,
Looking to recap a six or so XBoxs comprised of every major mobo variant 1.0-1.1, 1.2-1.4, & 1.6 and am trying to decide on which Caps to get.
        A) For the Caps located by the CPU, I know they should be low ESR/impedance, but what is considered low, anything less than 100?

        B) Additionally, what minimum low frequency and high frequency ripple should I be looking for? I know higher is better but with so many cap choices and price points out there, I'm just trying to narrow down my search window.

        C) I've read some stuff on the various threads...

Here's a video I uploaded to show the problem.
        https://youtu.be/MbaZQ7aYMMY?feature=shared

Quality isn't 1080p yet because I just uploaded it. YouTube takes a while to process videos to maximum quality.

I have a multimeter and basically no electrical fixing knowledge.

I came across a post on here describing the same issue if it helps y'all help me. -> https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...500-done-today

Help with replacing Capacitors on Altec Lansing ATP 3
        by yuzupatogik
        Hello,
I have this old (2004?) Altec Lansing ATP3 and i would like to replace the capacitors. I have identified 34 out of the 36 of them as Samxon GR of various capacities and voltages.

I can't find datasheets for the Samxon in any of the following variants:

10000uF 25 v - this one i really want to replace because i suspect it is what causes a dull hum regardless of the volume knob position or if the source is plugged in. I am eyeballing the Rubycon 25PK10000MEFCGC18X35.5 for this purpose. So if i pay a 10x the price part for shipping i might as well go ahead and...

Need help fixing ATI Radeon X800XL AGP 256 (Missing components)
        by BYTEHAT248
Got this card out of a box of old electronics and am hoping there's a way to fix it, when i found it i put it in one of my desktops and it displays a kinda static like bars of color. so upon further inspection i noticed that it is missing a choke and a capacitor, and the other choke is cracked and there's a piece of it missing. im pretty good with smd soldering and i looked around quite a bit but cant seem to find what the part numbers of the missing components are. if anybody could help me out with this that would be great. the part number of the card is P/N 102A4900103 159312
