Logitech Z5500 problem need help fixing

Here's a video I uploaded to show the problem.
    https://youtu.be/MbaZQ7aYMMY?feature=shared

Quality isn't 1080p yet because I just uploaded it. YouTube takes a while to process videos to maximum quality.

I have a multimeter and basically no electrical fixing knowledge.

I came across a post on here describing the same issue if it helps y'all help me. -> https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...500-done-today

please help me diagnose and fix it.

    thanks

I guess if you want for others to chime in, you need to upload some straight shot, high resolution pictures using the attachment function. Otherwise it’s like my car broke, help me fixing it. The other thread points to some diodes to check, did you do that?

I just explained I know nothing about electronics. I need guided step by step help

Here is a schematic for it. Open that sucker up, take it apart (snap some pics while you are taking it apart so you know how it goes back together), post the pictures of the board(s).

Watch some “Logitech z5500 teardown or repair” videos on YouTube.

So this schematic doesn’t include the console, where the problem is supposed to be. So far I haven’t found anything that includes that console.

Dannyx did repair such thing at one time, maybe he can remember something.

                  Update
I had given the speakers to my local mobile repair shop who said they'll try to diagnose it (it's free for diagnosis), and I sent them the link I posted here to the forum post of the guy who had the same issue and fixed it, but they told me they went over it with a multimeter but couldn't find the fault. They also stressed they are just a mobile repair store.

I called around but no one fixes speakers near me.

I will need help fixing this. I'll post photos of the circuits once I go and collect the speakers.

                    Hello
I've now taken many photos of the control pod circuit board. Both sides.

Because of how many photos I took it's spread over 2 links.

My phone ran out of battery while taking photos of subwoofes circuit board so I'll take and post the rest later.

                    Thanks

I think the problem is in that control console and there should be some diodes to check. As for making pictures, just take them straight shot front and back, high resolution and attach them to the post with the attachment function.

I took over 50 photos. Please click the links to see them.

I don't have an expensive professional camera. I have my phone and a g7x which has basically the same sensor size as my phone.

I can retake the photos using the g7x if you want.

I have no resolution options on my Samsung Galaxy S20, and you can see from the photos it has a bokeh effect.

I just use my IPhone and don’t use a DSLR either. Keep the pictures straight, much easier to see.
I did see some sad looking solder joints somewhere that you should touch up in the first batch of pics. Put your DMM in diode mode and poke around on these diodes. A regular diode should measure something like 0.6 or 0.7 on your DMM and backwards it should read OL. There are some Schottky diodes that have voltage drop of 0.2 and that’s normal. If you get to a diode that has a reading both ways, just lift one leg and redo the measurement (it depends on the circuit).
A good rule is this; When in doubt, take it out!
Thats all I got left for tonight.

Sir. I'm sorry but I know nothing about electronics. Please provide a simple step by step guide. Thank you so much.

You have a DMM (digital multimeter), put it in diode mode. Put one probe on one end of the diode and the other probe on the other end of the diode and take a reading. Then reverse the probes on the diode and take another reading.
A good diode has a reading of 0.6 or 0.7 on you DMM and when you reverse the probes it should rear OL (open lead)
A bad shorted diode, your DMM should beep and show 0.00.
Also a bad open diode shows OL in both ways.
Maybe YouTube how to check a diode and it should visually explain it to you no problem.

Tested both diodes in control pod. 0.751 each. Reversing the probes gives 1.995 on one and 1.910 on the other. Photo of what I tested attached.

Also photo of what setting I put MM on.

O.k. You found possible candidates, as they are not measuring up. You got 0.75 forward bias, but you got a reverse bias reading as well. Problem is, we don’t know why. Is it because of the circuit, or is it indeed the diodes fault.
Now you have to lift one leg (unsolder one side of the diode, which one doesn’t matter) and redo both measurements. The forward bias is right, but in the reverse bias there shouldn’t be anything.

The post you quoted said the 2 MELF diodes are causing problem as mentioned in that post. They are probably referring to D700 and D701. These are the only MELF diodes i can see in the control pod from your pictures. The post mentioned to replace with some diodes like BAV103. The U701 LM317 plastic casing seems deformed or just dirty in the pictures. You should check all 3 LM317's voltages. That post said they should output 5v, 3.3v and 2.5v. Good luck.

Am I supposed to be checking all this with the control pod powered up? What I checked so far was with it NOT powered up.

I have an LG Plasma TV 60PM6700 for the past ~12 years.

In the last ~3-4 months I have been having some issues.
                                          1. Problem: It started with random picture disappearing (sound still worked).
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait a few seconds before turning it on again.
                                          2. Problem: Then it got worse and the TV started to shut down and when turning on the no picture just sound.

Hello! First, please excuse me if my English is not good enough because it is not my native language!
Now let me describe my specific problem. For two days, the gear lever on my Logitech G27 has shown the following defect.
