Are These Not The Most Blatant Fakes You've Ever Seen?

That is indeed a cap with the Nippon Chemi-Con logo with SAMYOUNG written inside of it, with the shittiest font I've ever seen.

Edit: He's selling tons of other items such as Toshiba laptop adapters that don't look right.

Old Samyoung caps actually had that logo, here's one from a 90s Kenwood receiver (KR-A4060)

Samyoung has had a joint venture with Nippon Chemi-Con since the 70s, so it isn't too surprising the logos used to be similar:http://www.samyoung.co.kr/eng/company/history.asp

Oh wow, didn't know that. The font and labeling is wrong though.

        CD3217B12 compatibility
        by 2wtn
Hi all, have been lurking here for quite some time, and now my first post

People who have experience replacing CD3217B12 chips (on macbooks), I have a few questions for you.

As far as I understand, the CD3217B12 exists in more than one type and the different types are not cross-compatible. Is that correct? How many types are there in fact that you know of and which motherboards is each type compatible with? Do they look visually the same, or is there some difference in marking?

What should I look at when buying these chips online, for example on...

        Pioneer A-307R, A-209R, A-107, etc. amplifiers repair, beware IRF530 / IRF9530 fakes
        by Chungalin
There’re several Pioneer amplifiers that carry two MOSFET pairs IRF530 / IRF9530 from International Rectifier:

        A-107
        A-109
        A-207
        A-209R
        A-307R
        ...and others

Well, two years ago I bought 10 pairs of these transistors at AliExpress. Although I was very aware of counterfeits, I thought that a quite humble and inexpensive MOSFET wouldn’t be attractive to counterfeiters.

They looked fine and I’ve used them as replacements, with very deceiving results. At first, they apparently work fine, but soon I noticed some disturbing...

        More fake parts
        by tvtimmy
I ordered 50 FGD4536 ibgt's from them and recieved 50 fucking blanks, useless Chinese forgeries for $44. I can get a full refund if I spend at least $15 to ship the garbage back to China for some other person to buy. I decided I would like to publicly disgrace them and just eat the $44. They advertised them as used but working. They came in a strip of new FAKES that looked nothing like the real ones. BEWARE OF THOSE SHADY BASTARDS!

"Ultimate Electronics" store on AliExpress -- fakes?
        by jjne
This store sells a good range of apparently good quality caps at keen (not massively cheap but keen) prices. Ranging from cheap OSTs and Samwhas to Panasonics and Nichicons.

I've bought a few packs (not spent much -- a few dollars) and if they are fakes, someone's taken care to present them properly.

They look just like the real thing -- well-printed labels, bungs and vents look correct, ESRs are consistent with genuine caps (the one set of Chemicon 1500uF caps that were highish ESR turned out to be a GP range, and that was my bad for not checking).
