EVGA nforce 590 sli, buzzing sound

Hey everyone. Ive been having this problem for quite some time. Every once in a while.. usually while I am gaming and my comp gets hot, my computer will make a loud buzzing sound for about 1-2 seconds and then (usually) reboot itself, sometimes it won't reboot if i hold my mouth just right. I can't tell if the sound is coming from the power supply or the motherboard, but does this sound like bad caps? Another weird this is, i'd been getting bsod's, so i took out a stick of ram one at a time until the BSODs stopped. When i tried to put the ram back in (hopeful thinking), the computer wouldn't boot and would stick on the "finding ram" post code. I dont have another motherboard to test this ram in, but why would my ram just go bad all the sudden? Or is that a symptom of Bad caps, perhaps powering 4x 1gb sticks of ram is too much for some bad caps?

None of the caps on my motherboard have any visual signs of plague, I know that doesn't mean they aren't bad.. but I don't have an ESR meter yet, so I thought i'd ask if anyone else had symptoms like these with bad caps. My power supply has a lifetime warranty, so im not gonna open it up. Thanks a bunch!

    J-rod

edit: oh the power supply is an Antec Truepower Trio 650w.

Your DDR2 sticks are overclocked and overvolted too? I noticed that ram voltage over 1.9 V for DDR2 can be dangerous for badly cooled sticks and even fancy radiators can't stop electromigration into memory chips; unfortunately most low latency ram seems to be overvolted (2.1 to 2.3 V).
I think at least a module is damaged, so run Memtest86+ for about 10 cycles (every cycle has 12 test; long lasting tests can detect error due to overheat). If there are errors, test a module at time until you find the culprit(s).
Most brand ram has at least a 3 years warranty, so ask for a replacement. If it's damaged and out of warranty, then buy some DDR2-1066 value sticks from reputable brands (Corsair, Kingston, OCZ), since they're cheap and perform as much as 2 years old sticks (if not even better). Check their operating voltage: it should be 1.8 V, the standard one.

      by ChaosLegionnaire
so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!! what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol!

i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...

EVGA Nu Audio Sound Card - Not Working
      by FZG
I have an EVGA Nu Audio sound card that is not working properly and I need some help diagnosing the fault (preferably by someone who owns this card and is willing to take some measurements).

The card sort of powers up (LED lights are coming on and the relais is clicking, some voltages are present) but it is not detected in Windows. I tried installing in two different PCs and tried several driver versions but the card was never detected anyway. So I thought this is probably not a driver / software-issue and then disassembled the card to take some measurements.

      I found...

LAPTOP HP 15-DY2059LA / i3-12gen has stability problems in vccpu coils, BUZZING SOUND. ¿Coil whine?
      by valente222
Hello friends, I just received this equipment, it has a strange hum on the board. The computer works fine, outputs an image and starts Windows. But the problem is when charging the battery, a constant loop to charge. In short, it never charges the battery. When the charger is connected, the stability of the CPU is stressed and it seems that the coils make that electrical sound louder. This board is modern and I don't have a schematic. I have checked with a microscope and the pcb is completely new. Has anyone had this happen to them before? defect in driver ic?...

Marian Trace Alpha sound card repair help
      by Christos Tsiligiannis
      Hello to the forum.

My name is Christos, I am new to the forum here and i am posting from Greece.

So i have this old German sound card from Marian, called Trace Alpha. To be exact i have 2 of them and i use them professionally for my small FM radio station here. The first one works like a charm, but the second one does not work at all.

To be more specific in the same exact pc with windows 7 (i even tried 32bit) the one works while the other doesn't.

So i tried asking for a schematic from the company and they would not give me one. Instead they...
