Some serious help is required here!!
TV is from an aunt, very little use in the guest room, just "went off"
Nice tv for the bairn, took it hoping to be a bad cap, removed them all, tested all seemed to be within the tolerance range, replaced most off them, except 1 400v 27uf, and one i cant identify which is HYT 30076661
Anyhoooo, TV turns on but goes off after a few seconds, or did, until i fit new transformer, not sure if it's 100% compatible but the main number on it matched so thought yeahhhh that's the one, but new one fitted, it comes on and goes straight off! no few seconds!!
same with old and new it makes a "whine" as if it's charging or something, the "whine" disappears and the TV fires up, then off, few seconds of silence "whine" and repeat!!
gutted it wasn't the original "whiney" transformer, as i badly wanted to fix it for the little love of my life, my daughter who's just gone 6
all boards look in good nick, which was to be expected i suppose, but at a lost end with this, i have a Fluke 115 if there are any tests i can do with it. all solder looks clean, no dry cracked bits etc, my own solder and de-solder are spot on
lol
please, any info!!
