Seems to me that a datasheet is hard to come by if not impossible, as I've seen many people have been searching for datasheet's on this particular series for years.
From all accounts and tests I've seen, it seems to be a general purpose, -40 to 105 temp, -/+ 20 tolerance, not particularly low esr type, long life capacitor. Beyond that I can't really tell you much more, as my search for data on this series has come up nil. -

Yeah probably something similar to the YXA series except I think they are suppose to be 5000 Hrs @ 105degC. What color are the capacitors by the way?Last edited by MassBoost; 07-12-2015, 05:58 PM.Comment

It's old series, found document from around april 2011 where rubycon says they change label from pvc to pet.
I don't think you should care that much, it's probably like general purpose series in specs nowadays.Comment

Yeah, I was going to say that the doc's say the that they made the move from pvc to pet, and the pre 2011's were blue/dark purple and the black ones are the newer pet 2011 or newer ones.Comment

What we have here today is an Intel DG33FB motherboard, circa 2007... I need to replace some of the caps on this board... From what I have found, one of these caps was sort of well known here back in the day as they were used in XBoxes and XBox 360s as well....They are the Rubycon MFZ series, in particular the 6.3 v 3300uf 10mm X 20mm... I have found a seller on Amazon, The Capacitor Store, that has them listed but I have a hard time believing these are genuine pieces... The original recommendation was to replace any bad ones with Nichicon HZ series since the Rubycon MFZ's were a custom product,... -
Hello, I'm working on an old Dell XPS410 with burst capacitors. I'm trying to source either an equivalent replacement, or a replacement that will work. It's been suggested to me to use Poly caps as a replacement, but I have no idea what to order or what will work.
If anyone has a link to where I can buy what I need that would be even better.

is the replacement possible? There is a difference of factor 2 between the ESR/Impedance.
The caps are located on a motherboard.

Hello. I'm looking for the best modern long-life replacement for Rubycon CE W capacitors found in some old consoles and computers (Sega Genesis/Mega Drive and ZX Spectrum). In these machines I've also found (and replaced) Nichicon VX(M), TK C-8Z1 and FDS K002.
I've used Panasonic FR (and Rubycon YXJ for the 1 uF 50V) but the Sega Mega Drive became unstable after one hour of use, so I switched to Panasonic FC / Rubycon ML and it works apparently fine. I need more capacitors, so I'm planning to order Rubycon YXF instead of ML this time, is it a good idea?

Hi,
I was hoping to get some help in identifying a replacement capacitor for a PET Rubycon A0817 6.3V 1000uF rated for 105C temp, MBZ series.
This is to replace one bad capacitor on a DELL 530 motherboard DG33M03 (manufactured by Foxconn, DELL part # FM586).
I'm attaching the pictures of the bad cap.
