Hi all just got this asus motherboard in today and noticed that someone has professionally replaced some caps on the output of the cpu vrm. The caps are 1000uf 16v 10mm Di nichicon Hv, looking at images of this board the original caps used in the replaced ones are ucc kzg. Will the Hv work inplace of the Kzg or shall I order some Mbz's ?

Re: Hv In Place Of Kzg ?
Assuming the cap is 8x20mm, the specs are as follows:
KZG:
Impedance 0.021 Ripple 1870
HV:
Impedance 0.031 Ripple 1550
So the HV are slightly inferior, but they might work here (VRM high), especially if your PSU isn't too noisy.
On Asus boards these caps are almost always interchangeable with 16V 270uF (Or more) polymer caps.
The question is, did he use real HV caps or eBay knockoffs?"We have offered them (the Arabs) a sensible way for so many years. But no, they wanted to fight. Fine! We gave them technology, the latest, the kind even Vietnam didn't have. They had double superiority in tanks and aircraft, triple in artillery, and in air defense and anti-tank weapons they had absolute supremacy. And what? Once again they were beaten. Once again they scrammed [sic]. Once again they screamed for us to come save them. Sadat woke me up in the middle of the night twice over the phone, 'Save me!' He demanded to send Soviet troops, and immediately! No! We are not going to fight for them."
