    where to get capacitors?

    Hi,

i've got gx270 mboard, which has 5 or 6 capacitors which should be replaced. I tried searching for replacing capacitors. I can, of cause, order kit, but I don't need whole kit. Do you know where can I order capacitors? What would be p/n?

    Thanks.

    Re: where to get capacitors?

You should replace all the caps on that motherboard, but if you don't want to and in the US or Canada, contact Topcat anyway to see what he can do for you. If you are anywhere else, contact Big Pope.

They have some, but not all you might need. Its always fun to hunt for them, though.

          Re: where to get capacitors?

so far i need only 6pcs of 6.3V, 1800uF (perhaps, 1500uF will work as well)

Damn HNs. You should be able to find those at Digikey or Mouser. I would stick Dell with it, they are use to it.

sad story about dell is, that i built this computer from leftover parts from other computers.... i knew, i should have taken different motherboard, one on second shelf, not third. I knew it!

              btw. what is HNs?

Nichicon HN are the 1800uf caps that are bad. I checked mouser.com and if they are 8mm, no luck. I would still contact TC or Big Pope.

Contact Dell first. I understand they have a free board replacement program for that model if it has bad caps.

I get almost everything from Digikey. If you call them, often they will refer you to another business that has the parts they don't stock.

After updating motherboard capacitors, what to do next (Asrock K7VT2, SOLTEK SL-75FRN2L)

Hi, I have some 32 bits computer motherboards that need repair, as they fail to
                        power on.

                        Here are some examples :

(N.B. "capacitors" indicated here are electrolytic capacitors located in the onboard
                        switching supply area).
                        (N.B. #2 : I could not find a 3300 microF aluminum-polymer with a higher voltage
                        than 6.3 V.)

1 - Motherboard #1 : this is an Asrock K7VT2 (socket A) that still works well. To put it on test
                        I replaced capacitors with aluminum-polymer.

BenQ GW2450HM - Panel is partially dimmed, works for 2 hours after replacing few caps
                        by gumball
Issue: Panel is partially dark or dimmed, left side is okay (see photos attached).

Trial: Replaced three visibly bad capacitors on the power supply board (see photos).

First result: Monitor worked for two hours only. Two capacitors bulged again.

Diagnosis: After replacing those capacitors the monitor was connected via HDMI cable to a laptop. Laptop was connected to power supply and charging. Power cable was removed from the laptop end and put back. Maybe this was a coincidence but since unplugging the power cable it was noted that the panel had darkened...

Intermittent display on Sherwood Newcastle R-965 Receiver
                        by BigPete
                        Hi all,

I'm working on a Sherwood R-965 at the moment. It came in with relays clicking constantly and also going into protect mode.
I've re-soldered a lot of dry joints and replaced quite a few capacitors and now it works, but I still have one problem I haven't solved and would like some opinions.
The vacuum display is quite intermittent. Sometimes it won't turn on, sometimes it will turn on but the characters, numbers and letters are frozen on, regardless of which buttons are pushed. And sometimes it works flawlessly. If the display doesn't turn on initially, restarting...

AA and AAA battery charger capacitors?
                        by slybunda
hey all, iv got my favourite battery charger here which iv had for many years probably 15 years now or maybe even more. it still works good but thought id open it up to clean the dust out of it, lots of dust inside but now its clean and noticed 4 capacitors inside it and wondered if i should replace them.
                        it has inside:
                        2 x 47uf 16v caps 105c branded as Su'scon (lol sounds sus to me)
                        2 x 470uf 16v LZ105c branded as G.Luxon

not heard of these brands are they any good?

iv attached photos of the charger and the board inside for an idea on the type of...

Denon AVR 1908, High pitch noise on Surround back Left channel after long overhaul
                        by karatzdi
                        Hello,

I know some might say... just buy another one. Sell it as parts..!

So had this AMP for quite some time. Recently I saw light smoke coming out of the AMP. Had my fire extinguisher close by. Just kidding. Turned immediately all devices off from mains.
Let things cool a bit, and opened up the amp device. I clearly saw on the main board which hosts the 5X amp (5.1), 3 10 ohms 1W resistors had their leads looking black, while the rest of the remaining 2 x 10 ohms were brownish as being installed from factory.

Spent some time downloading the Service...
