    Need advice on replacement caps

    Hello Everyone,

    I'm working on an Akai LCT3285TA, and have put together a shopping list of replacement caps. Was wondering if someone more knowledgeable could check my choices of replacements to see if I'm correct.

    ELXZ160ELL221MF15D - 220uF 16v 400mA ripple .18ohm Impedance 105c
    (found above recommended in another post here)

    ESMG350ELL222ML25S - 2200uF 35v 1670mA ripple .16ohm Impedance 85c

    EKY-160ELL102MK15S - 1000uF 16v 1400mA ripple .18ohm Impedance 105c

    35YXJ470MCA10X16 - 470uF 35v 1210mA ripple .13ohm Impedance 105c

    35YXJ1000M12.5X20 - 1000uF 35v 1900mA ripple .041ohm Impedance 105c

    In each case, I've tried to find replacements with equal or higher ripple, and equal or lower impedance, as recommended in several posts. Thanks in advance for your help.

          we need to know what the original capacitors in this circuit were, in order to suggest the best replacements - most of the caps you have mentioned are good caps, but I don't typically like to use anything 85c- because equipment always runs hotter than it should.

              I'd like to start out by thanking this forum for providing the info to be able to repair my 15 year old CP1500AVRLCD UPS. Here is all the info I gathered during my trouble-shooting and re-capping.

              Like clockwork, I've had to replace the SLA batteries every 4 years. It was about that time and the UPS was acting like it needed new batteries... randomly shutting off with AC present, not being able to charge fully, and poor runtime when AC was removed. So, I replaced the batteries but noticed that it was not charging properly.

              Good day everybody

              I hope I'm posting in the right section - I am new to this awesome forum.

              I have received an ACER Ferrari F-20" LCD Monitor to repair.

              It produces interference lines on the image displayed and slowly rotates across the whole screen, with respect to the center of the screen. One rotation takes about 4 minutes and the cycle repeats over and over.
              For some reason the On Screen Display Menu is not affected when switched on with the Menu button.

              I opened the external 18V power supply and see no bulged capacitors...

              I have a technika tv, 32 inch, around 10 years or so in age and last night when watching tv i heard a hissing sound and the next thing i saw smoke coming out the back of the tv, i instantly unplugged the tv. I took the back off tv to expose power board, then plugged in tv and saw smoke coming out of a capacitor, i will try and attach a photo below, see below for attachments of board and cap, and keep reading, maybe you can advise ?

              The cap says on it: 105kj450mff4. This doesn't mean a lot to me as i'm an amateur when it comes to electronics, though i've undertaken some repairs such...

              Looking for best replacements for Capxons, but can't find data sheets

              Recapping the power supply board for a Samsung 305T monitor, everything is Capxon except 2 Rubycons. I can't find data sheets matching these online, so don't know what ripple numbers, impedence, etc, to look for. There are a few different looking GL series data sheet PDFs, but the listing that matches the capacitance and voltage is a much bigger case size. I've narrowed down selections with lead spacing and case diameter, and what's in stock at Digi-key

              Howdy folks,

              I have an Optiplex GX260 that blew a couple of those troublesome Nichicon HM series (ultra low ESR) electrolytic capacitors. Because said caps are obsolete, they are pretty much impossible to find on the market; I did find a listing for some but I believe they are counterfeit. I feel the easiest thing to do would be to replace all the blown caps with polymer ones. I am by no means an expert in electronics, and I've found a fair bit of conflicting information, so any guidance or confirmation would be greatly appreciated. While from a practical standpoint it's not worth...
