Re: My HV input filter cap collection (good and bad?)

I have a bunch of these and find them to be decent despite of some people complaining they found them leaking or dead (so are Rubycons if not used properly). The thing is that Fujicon doesn't falsely advertise their capacitors like Samxon does. On paper Samxon is impressive but they proved to be utter crap.
Fujicon, on the other hand, admits that it doesn't take much ripple in standard low esr variant and should be used accordingly. There are, however, long life and high ripple series that are appropriate for mobos, PSUs and so on.
The picture is RK series (105C, 2000hrs) which is fine for main filtering capacitors in PSU if they don't get blazing hot. 2000 Hrs isn't sufficient for a long life application in a high temperature environment. They have been in my PSU for several years now. I use them where it's suitable and they have yet to fail me.
