Can someone please help me get the values of these capacitors I have posted. I believe one is 220uF at 25 volts. Please correct me or add your input. Thank you

Re: Capacitor Identification
Thank you for the response. I am just beginning to work on this. Any help is appreciated. As I mentioned - the 14" screen on this is very hard to see. I can adjust the brightness with the Graphic Adapter but it still has a very low brightness level. Its just confusing. I hope to get it resolved--Thank youComment

Re: Capacitor Identification
PL3 and PL12 (the one with 2R5 written on it) seem to be both cracked.
These are inductors - big coils of wire wrapped around a metalic or magnetic core. If they're cracked and it's not by design, they may no longer work as intended but rather as weaker inductors.
PL3 is probably 150uH in value, the other one...I can't tell from the 2R5 code. However, you can't really replace it with any 150uH inductor, you need to know the peak current of that inductor (in Amps), the resistance (in mOhms)...
It would be best to get a service manual for this laptop or another model from the same series, and see what the service manual lists for these.Comment

by proxneoDear reader
I am performing a repair on a Sony ICF-SW55, which includes recapping (some) of the SMD capacitors on the mainboard. I am looking for verification of their values. At the moment, I'm 95% sure I've got the right values, but it is hard to find some official, credible or multiple independant sources on this.
At the moment, I have selected replacements based on the following list of values:
3 x 470uF 10VDC
3 x 4.7uF 35VDC
4 x 47uF 50VDC
8 x 22uF 6.3 VDC
1 x 220uF 6.3VDC
5 x 100uF 6.3VDC
Which...-

by mrkmpnI am trying to determine the value of a blown capacitor, and the boadview shows the values for many of the capacitors and other components on this board, but all of the information blank on others.
Is there any relevance to the fact that some of these values are left out, or is it just inconsistency by whoever created the boardviews?
Is there any way to deteremine if one without infrormation matches one that shows those details? -
by chth96I replaced some capacitor which is located on optical pickup pcb which is shown in the table below(PCB #2).Because it have been out of order.
Now,It works very well,But I just have found that all caps (6svpc100my and other part number as well) ,which is shown in the table below, has ultra-high ripple current spec.
It is not able to obtain any capacitor which can be a substitute for this ultra-high ripple current nichicon capacitor.
So I replaced it with samxon and rubycon's general capacitor(GP,YXA series).
I know that these capacitor will not last as long as nichicon capacitor...-

by AdrenalinTLHowdy peeps.
Can someone tell me where to get another one of these? google doesn't seem to have a 560uF and I am still quite a newbie to the whole world of electronics so trying to learn as I go. The one to the right of this pic is definitely swollen. PSU does random shut downs / no power on etc
Also, can it be replaced with a higher uF cap ? Same voltage?
Thanks... - Loading...
