What is this?!!! Leaking????

Ok guys and gals, I went ahead and removed one of the bigger caps in my amp... and on the PCB and bottom of the cap is some strange orangey browny looking stuff. Have these caps been leaking from the bottom?! Or is this just some sort of glue or something?

Just remember: if it's capacitor exudate, it will taste sour, slightly metallic in the case of large electrolytics. If it's glue, it should taste slightly bitter, depending on how long the power supply's been used.

Thanks for that! I didn't eat glue as a child, so I wouldn't know what it tastes like lol

If that's the case I think they might have been leaking. It tastes sourish to me. But the blob of it I pulled off the first cap stretches like glue?! It wouldnt' stretch would it? Hm...

Question #2: Do non polarized caps ever have a band on it marking which leg is negative (guessing not, because it wouldn't matter which way around they went?)... some of the smaller caps I pulled have ( N ) printed on them, but also have the "-" strip. Was just wondering if the ( N ) meant non polarized or something
