Can you determine the cap manufacturer by the color?

I just opened up a new FSP400-60PFN power supply to check what kind of caps it has. I noticed that the black ones with gray print were CapXon and the greenish ones with a brownish vertical stripe and print were Teapo. There were also some black ones with a light blue vertical stripe and print, but I couldn't tell what brand those were. Any idea what brand those caps are?

No. I've seen UCC caps in blue, brown, and green sleeving: LXZ in blue and brown; KZE in brown and green. Nichicon uses black, brown, and yellow (GP types) sleeving, that I've seen anyway; I think they also used green 20 or 25 years ago. I've seen Panasonic in blue and black sleeving.

Wouldn't it be nice if crap caps were all s__t brown and good stuff other colors?

Power Supplies should be boring: No loud noises, no bright flashes, and no bad smells.

Ironically, s__t brown is often a sign of good Panasonic caps.

Also a number of good Chemi-con Kxx and Nichicon Px are shades of brown.
