Hi!
I am new to this site, and found it via LLM ChatGPT.
I got a BenQ Ex3501R monitor which i have had for a while now, it works pretty good until recently, it struggles to turn on, i can see the purple welcome screen is shown for a brief time before it vanish again, usually it stays on for a couple of seconds before the main computer screen is shown, but image is still kept black, before i just had to turn it off and on a few times and that would leave it on, but now it takes ever longer to stabilize the image on the screen, ocasionally i can see the computer desktop for the same brief moment as the welcome screen. other times I can use remote control software to change the resolutions a few times, and play with refresh rates and that would fixed it.
so I tried different power sources, it uses an external adapter at 19 or 20 volts, cannot remember as im not near the screen to check it now,, but i tried a few adapters with matching volts and amps same problem.
i tried different display cables, hdmi and displayport, same, basically i can turn it on without any connected cable, with just the power and this welcome screen still just flicker the same way, so I came to the conclusion it is probably a capacitor problem, now my screen is at my moms place, and i live 3 hours away so i wonder if anyone in here are familiar with this screen and have any images of the board, or any schematics, if someone have the same screen if they can provide some photos so I can preorder some caps i can bring back next time i visit.
I tried to google the schematics, looking for teardown repair videos, but seems there are none..
hopefully someone here are way better than me to look this up
