Thanks a million bud.
Anyone know where the BIOS is in this board?
Mac wont turn on. Checked the logic board inside out. Everything seems ok. No short of any kind.
I assume it has to be bios issue.
Because its only pulling 5V and 17mA.
Under thermal camera, i see nothing getting hot. I know 17mA is not that big for the thermal camera to notice.
Anyway, there's no short.
If anyone knows the BIOS location, please let me.
Thanks folks

by Dallas90Hi,
I recently got my hands on a water damaged MacBook Pro M1 A2338, and after cleaning the board in a ultra sonic cleaner I tried to boot it up but found a short on CL002 and removed it along with the surrounding parts:CL002, CL053, CL052, CL031.
The laptop is working without the parts it seems but I guess its better to install new/used components, the problem Is that i only have a few MacBook Air A1466 and iPhone Boards to salvage parts from and I cannot find a good replacement for CL031.
So I would really appreciate if someone could help me out....06-17-2023, 04:32 PM -

by mferna14Hi all, working on a MacBook Air A2179 EMC 3302 stuck on Apple Logo. Came in dead. There was spillage on both of the USB-C Charge port connector. I replaced the cap 4.7UF 25V near the speaker connector as it was corroded. Replaced USB-C connector with a new one & now I get display. The problem is that gets stuck on the Apple logo & sometimes it even boots up into OS after a very long time & the CPU fan spins fast. Kindly any repair tips will be appreciated. Do these logic board have BIOS, so that I could do a clean up or load a new dump. Thanks in advance.

by InstafixxHello,
Namaste.
I have a Macbook A2338 820-02020 with No Image and No Backlight.
The device came in with a liquid spill at the Display Connector. The Macbook was on (tested with an external display).
Cleaned the Board for any corrosion and Reballed UP7800.
Post that we have backlight on the screen but still no Image.
One weird thing is that even if we disconnect the Screen and connect it to an external video we still dont get the password screen - it shows a blank screen with wallpaper ( like it does when the screen is connected).
