Fail to BIOS Program WINBOND W25Q64FVSSIG 1.8V with SkyPro or CH341A

    Hello,

I have a laptop with corrupted BIOS that i can't program. I even buy new chips but without success of flash correctly
I have SkyPro and CH341A with two 1.8V adaptor.

Skypro seens not compatible, it don't have the chip on list, i tried to use the W25Q64FW but doesn't work.
So i end with CH341A v1.29 that have the W25Q64FV. It appear to correctly erase and blank the chip, even the read and write operation works but when it verify the contents they are always in disagreement with the buffer and read from write output a messy hex combination.

Anyone know a compatible chip that i can use on skypro list to flash this rom?

On main post i told i have two 1.8V adaptors, and yes i use them they are good
The problem is my best programer (Skypro) does not have the chip under list and CH fails

I came across this thread and wondered:

According to datasheet, the W25Q64FVSSIG should be 3V chip (2.7-3.6V) not 1.8V.

          FV is 3.3V
          FW is 1.8V

So you need to use a 3.3V programmer and pick W25Q64FV from the list.

Are you programming on-board or did you unsolder it first?
If on-board, you might need to apply power to motherboard.

            Thanks for info.

But it is stated in the title of OPs thread "W25Q64FVSSIG" and he is trying to flash it with 1.8V.

            Thats what made me wonder.
