I suspect it is T-CON as well, since the backlights are present when you disconnect the small cable from the T-CON but no image on the screen.

Can you zoom in on the that connector so I can read the pinout chart of the connector?
I hope you do not have shorted panel.

I didn't read the previous properly....BTW Curved TVs will be phased out soon together with 4K....think there is something called HDR on the market now.

HDR; High Dynamic Range has been around for quite a while and right now the 8K is in the work.

he turn on the set while the cable out of dimm which are same time protect sync for backlight. LG did the protect with LED indicator on PWB Samsung copy it but they cant put it as LG so they integrated at T-CON , the smell was gone from the switch protector IC ( shorted )as it switch (- )to LEDs and T-CON circuit.

Please summarize your diagnosis. You believe the T-CON is not the main failure?

Now 100% T-CON should be repaired or replaced. take out the black shield and spot good photo to show you the protect circuit.
any test you make only the LED cable white and blue out from PWB circuit,

I still cannot understand why the tcon will experience a hardware failure if the connector housing PWM1-3 signals is disconnected? Please explain.

The training guide mention there should be 3 blue leds lighting if all OK on tcon. I am sure it was only 2 so I still suspect the tcon to be the main problem in this case. A new tcon will arrive soon.

So the six wires from the T-CON to the power supply board are connected to which pin on the power supply board?
I see 4 PWM pins 2, 3, 4, 6.
Since shopjimmy does not have good clear pictures of this power supply board, can you please provide the straight shot of top and bottom side of the board.
So it looks like the T-CON sends the PWM control signals to the LED DRIVER driver circuit, the LED current return lines are not through the T-CON otherwise you will see POWER MOSFETs on the T-CON and it will be stupid design and the LED will not light up if the LED (-) return is on the T-CON, how can it light up when you disconnect that small connector on the T-CON.
The PWM controlled MOSFET for the LED returns are on the power supply board, T-CON only sending the PWM signal for the active backlights control based on the scene of the images.
That T-CON board is not cheap.

The six wires contolling led pwm is connected to pin 1-6 on the psu connector. it's possible to see a bundle of 6 wires hanging away from the rest of the wires.

you have 3 LED on T-CON you said was only 2 ON. i think one was on near the Fuse and which one the other ?
did you see the back side PWB cold area the 2 IC of backlight control got smoke so i can see from the photo !

I can't recall which one of the two close blue leds on t-con was on. At least, the one close to the fuse was on.
There's no smoke from the backlight control IC's, it's PCB coating to help for isolation!

So today new T-CON arrived, but still no change.
I tried to enter T-CON testmode (pattern generation) but does not show anything at all.
Must then be bad panel...



Still 2 leds only on T-CON (should be 3)
