These look like bad solder connections, have you done any component replacements?

        Yep!

Sure enough, diode 4 is conducting in both ways - that means it is shorted!

What is the part number on the diode bridge?

The NTC is also good - it looks like the bridge just has one shorted diode, and it seems the MOSFET isn't shorted, so I assume that the bridge rectifier was the only problem. It has no heatsink, and there are dust marks around it which sugguest that it gets hot. That would increase the likeliness for failure.

It is a 2-amp 600 volt bridge rectifier.

See if you can find any to order.

I have ordered the fuse and rectifier.

I replaced the fuse and the rectifier. But the thing dosen't power at all.

I did notice that the two parts marked in the picture are shorted i don't know if that means anything or not. They are marked ground and 12v.

                  Ok, hmm.

                  A few questions:

                  1. Did the new fuse blow?

                  2. Do you get about 325 volts DC on the big filter capacitor?

                  3. Disconnect the power board from the logic board. Do you still get a short from 12v to ground?

I am thinking that something shorted, and the PSU wasn't quick enough to shut down, which blew the fuse and rectifier.

                    2. Do you get about 325 volts DC on the big filter capacitor? How would i test this? There is very little room for multimeter probes

                    3. Disconnect the power board from the logic board. Do you still get a short from 12v to ground? Yes Still Shorted

Sorry for the very late reply i got cought up in repairing xbox's this week.

                    Thanks

If there is space insulate the heatsink with tape and use small crocodile clips on the cap legs. Otherwise you will have to test on the back. you may not need the main board connected for this. If you still cant get at it you will have to solder wires to the joints then check those Extreme care as there could be 400 volts involved.
