    Cap and resistor question

Can i use wire wound resistor to replace the one in picture .22ohm
I think not due to the inductance.

Also any special requirements for the capacitor 470pf 1kv

    Re: Cap and resistor question

The resistor, it depends on if it is fusible type or not. Do you know if it is connected to the Source pin of the MOSFET or if it is connected to the B+ (positive leg of the main filter cap? More likely the one you pick is OK, its flame proof so it will not catch on fire.
Cap is OK as long as the higher voltage will still fit into the board.

That resistor is fine to use.

Regarding wire wound can you confirm that inductance would be a issue.

Inductance will be an issue if used in the path of switching current path such as on the Source pin or on the Drain pin (Drain pin will have transformer or Inductor such as PFC inductor). They do make non-inductive wire wound resistor, I.E. they are used for amplifier load during test.

              As I expected thanks.

This tv is quite interesting it has what looks like a two phase pfc circuit.
