    Need help identifying...

I have decided to try and repair a liquid damaged phone, I have done the usual procedures of flushing with IPA and cleaning... This has allowed power to get to the on off switch and other components but still the phone is dead.

I obtained a service manual for the phone which is a Samsung Galaxy S3 and followed the problem solving guide to which i found out that i needed to replace a component. This is where it gets problematic... there are no markings on the component and the service manual doesn't say exactly what it is other than referring to it as U501. I have asked about online and people pointed me towards a 3 pin package but the one in question is a 6 pin... I have uploaded a diagram of the package.. This I recognize as a Transistor but can't find one the same one anywhere.

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks

Going be fun figuring the specs of this! Hmm I'm going to try a high powered magnifying glass and double check for any markings!

            That is indeed the component!

Need to figure the resistance ratings now.

            Cheers

              Hey guys..

I'm too looking for U501 and have only found 3 pin packages. Did you guys find correct component as a replacement?

              Thanks!

let me guess first think you did was that you replace the usb charging connector?
Just cook it! It's already broken.

                  Hey.

Not exactly sure what your question was - I have a S3 that doesn't turn on. I was following the service manual procedures and found that there's no voltage on the capacitors & resistors mentioned there. Diagram says -> replace the U501. This is the 6 pin dual transistor which I can't find. I only have 1 3 pin package available. So I'm asking you guys if you found out a replacement for that.

It could be that something else is also damaged but I will not know until I replace the U501 so I can continue the repair.

                  Thanks!

Well, I'm not sure, that's why I asked. Did someone confirm this?
