by Flaku_34Introduction:
Hello everyone, this topic is more of a knowledge sharing and look inside type of post, but for someone working on this model of display it might be useful. Recently I bought Acer Nitro XV273 XB MIIPRZX with busted electronic, but screen was intact, price was incredibly low, so I took a gamble and bought the unit and try to fix it. As I dug inside, I found out that my motherboard was not responding, although all voltages seemed fine. I wasn't able to find any reliable information about this monitor on the web (only some pictures of motherboards from Ebay). By some research...13 Photos-

by LeKowalskyHi,
I'm novice in smps repairs and lurker here also in addition to my preparation I have read Jestine Yong's Troubleshooting & Repairing Switch Mode Power Supplies many times and I cautiously proceeded in small steps a time.
What's on the table?
Enermax Platimax 1500W (EPM1500EGT)
Symptom
A fault is a little tricky here. When plugged into the wall for a first time (i.e. after proper discharge) PSU starts on power button (PS_ON) as expected, runs smoothly with all the voltages in tolerance also shows quite stable operation... -
by madan1Hello everyone.
I have an Enermax Platimax EPM1500EGT which does not work. On several occasions it started, but I have no idea why.
Currently it is dead.
I'm not familiar with troubleshooting pc psu and have just basic idea about the design and how they work.
I checked the standard things - caps are OK, switching trans. also seems to be OK, the rectifier seems fine...
Also that unit is so overpacked that most of the components are unreachable from the top side.
So any ideas how proceed from here?... -
by jolivaresHi everybody.
i'm looking for the black tape inside apple's devices.
Is the tape tha covers the shield on the mainboard. when you take it out, loses the adhesive.
It is very thin.
can somenone help me to find it for a better repair?
Thanks, God bless you. -
by momakaRemember this pile of junk electronics I got last year?
Well, that's where this Enermax Liberty ECO 400 Watt PSU came from. Like I mentioned, it had cut cables and many bulged caps on the DC output side. I stripped a few cables and did a quick temporary recap with whatever junk (but still reading OK) caps I could find, then performed a basic power test – the PSU passed.
Thus, I knew I'd eventually go around to repairing it. One year later and we're here.
First shown is the label below, so anyone reading can see what PSU we're dealing with here.
