I've always tested power supplies using high power resistors but that can be time consuming (need to put together an appropriate resistance value and make sure you're not overloading etc).

I stumbled into many electronic loads on aliexpress today. The below is just an example:

They're meant for batteries, would they work ok with power supplies? It would just be much easier to dial a trimmer than digging into a box of resistors (which then need to be connected etc).

I'd like to start out by thanking this forum for providing the info to be able to repair my 15 year old CP1500AVRLCD UPS. Here is all the info I gathered during my trouble-shooting and re-capping.

One note it will not work for the ZD-917 or similar model number that does not have the sleep function that are the same iron but the plug only...

I have some 24 volt switching power supply from my battery testing machine that I modified for a different switching power supply that is more suited for my new application and new purpose for testing BMS protection boards

I decided to try a new approach to testing unbalanced battery cells with my battery testing machine that has more graph curve information and it looks like if you discharge them to 2.00 volts if the battery voltage does not come back to over 3.something volts you have some kind of issue with that battery cell

I going to do more testing and see if is the case or not
