by TomMeHello guys,
Yesterday I received my MSI GeForce 7600GT with passive cooling (NX7600GT-T2D256EZ) and started investigating the capacitors used on it. I don't know much about the subject, all I know is that some types are considered bad and can cause problems. Unfortunately, my MSI card has a few of them.
Here is the list of caps used on this card, along with their markings:
- 2x Fujitsu (I guess..it's yellow and has an F on it)
-55°C - +105°C
16V 330uF
M
6261u - 5x Panasonic (it has the Matsushita logo)
+105°C FJ

by dopHi,
I have two nVidia 7600GT graphics card. The first one (EVGA) has two FZ64 1500uF 6.3V capacitors that have exploded and the card does not work.
The second is a Gigabyte card with passive cooling (which I guess killed the caps) and has a bulging KZJ 1500uF 6.3V capacitor - if you press it a bit, it leaks. The card works but is unstable.
Which capacitors can I use instead of those?
Thanks-

by buriedpastHi all, this is my first post here and first thought on recapping. Old hat with soldering, so I figure this will be a nice project.
My 7600GT has the infamous Sacon FZ caps that I'm going to replace - it died yesterday and I couldn't figure out what happened until finding this site and remembering the couple of "pops" I heard ... rung a bell.
I''ll replace all 3 types: 470 uF 16V, 1000 uF 16V and 1500 uF 6.3V. From what I've determined on the forums, the FZ ripple/ESR specs are 1,800 and 0.022.
The replacement Rubycon I figure to buy here... -
by thetempi have a bad cap on one of my 7600gt's and i was wondering if anyone could tell me what brand it was i am pretty sure it is an Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitor the numbers on the top say fz69 1500 6.3v i am assuming that the 1500 is 1500uf is that right. and what would be a good replacment cap?
should i replace all of them? none of the other ones look bad.
thank you for your help

by Fir3Chi3fSo after letting this thing sit in front of me for a bit, I noticed something...
OH MY!!
Dab of solder here... There we go
I can't believe it worked, I put it in my little brother's computer to test and the screen turned on. I might try to touch up the solder later, but I can't believe that even worked....-
