  • Bmax B7 Power Mini PC interesting short diagnostic

    Hi!

I have this mini pc that doesn't want to start.
When I plug in the charger it goes into protection mode.

I check the input pins in resistance mode and they are not shorted.
But in diode mode its 0.174V

When I opened it up I saw something new, no input mosfet, just big diodes next to the charging port. I checked on the coils for shorts but didn't find anything suspicious. Only the CPU coils have low resistance but that should be normal because it's an 11th gen I7.

  • HP Notebook - 15-ba017ax (LA-D711P Motherboard) turns off randomly after some time

I've had this laptop for 8-9 years, and about a week back, it started malfunctioning. When I press the power button, the power LED comes on for about 5secs and turns off. The fan also doesn't spin at all during this time. But, if I press the power button, and then manually spin the fan, the laptop boots up and the fan starts spinning on its own. Even if I do this, and the laptop boots up, it turns off (hard shutdown) after some time between 10secs and 1hour randomly. I've tried checking the fan voltage and it's at zero volts when I press the power button without spinning it, but when I spin the...

I've been attempting a repair of an Asus TUF H370 Gaming Motherboard. It fails to react to the power button being pressed, there's a debug light which confirms that there's standby power to the board but after any attempt to power on the components there's no sign of life. I've started my diagnosis and...
