first boot press f10 apply factory defaults and restart, 2nd boot reset security settings to defaults and exit.
use BCU. you can permanently disable Absolute lock in BCU.

Hi, I recently bought a HP Elitebook 640 G10, and it has a locked bios, i have little to no experience with hp, so i was wondering if there is a way to remove the password? BCU has insufficcient permissions, cant enable MPM mode, any external usb boot tools are stopped at run. i saw people posting dumps of their main and ec bin files here, but i dont know how to get them, software? or extraction? i tried running different bin unlock tools on the bin included in the driver update and installing it, without success, resetting cmos battery didnt do anything either. I have examined it under my microscope and unfortunately, there are several components on the motherboard (water damage) that need to be replaced. Does anyone here have the schematic & boardview for this model?

Bios has password, I did usual modifications to enter in MPM mode, it enters in MPM mode but when I try to load factory defaults it doesn't reset Administrator Password field, it stays at "Change Administrator Password". I can't reset Security to defaults because is asking for password.
I did try to downgrade bios version but can't find proper MFIT Tool, it was made with 16.1.27.2236
