I have a Dell Latitude 5420 stuck on the Dell Security Manager message on startup, I can't do anything.
Here is my BIOS and what I assume is ME (32MB for BIOS and 1MB for ME).
If someone could remove my BIOS password for me so I can reflash it afterwards.

Issue here, I tried with rex98 8FC8 tool system is booting to bios but no SSD being detected. Rex provided clean ME bios & i myself tried all the versions to clean me.
With initialized bios its booting to bios with NO ssd & with configured bios its in 3amber & 6whites state.

Don't know what else Im missing, need this to be fixed asap. Link to original bios...

I am working on a 5420 Dell Latitude that will not power up. My device shows that both USB-C ports are pulling 1 amp so that port is fine. Using my Flir One, I noticed that PU601 was running extremely hot. The picture provided is of the PU601 chip Intersil 95860. Which is a Multi-phase core controller power management chip. I was wondering if anyone had any info on said chip or a schematic seeing as I'm trying to find out the input/outputs so I can do some measuring and see where it's supposed to be going and see if the issue is the chip or if the problem the chip it's...

board was dead while receiving it was a capacitor short, fixed it, after that the bios was also seems to be corrupted i flashed several bios file even though i got it working an error keep showing saying "Alert! Service mode jumper is set" on every bios that worked

The flash descriptor in your bios is corrupt, that`s why it can`t find the signature. Fix it by copying 0-FF (length 100) from an uncorrupt bios https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...17#post3802917 to yours with a hex editor .Open both bios, select same offsets, copy and paste

Used your tool the latest version that is here to patch the bios. After several attempts the system is running but now its not showing SSD drives.

Looking for from help/guidance.

I have a CH341a (3.3v modified) trying to read bios from a Dell Latitude 5420 with a XMC 25RH256CXIQ bios chip.

I have read many articles in this forum including
https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?p=1140467

but nothing seems to be working.

When connecting the clip to the chip, the ch341a indicates chip is not detected. The chip is on the board and I have disconnected power and the battery.

Any other thoughts on what I could try?
