Hi There! Best regards from Brazil.
I'm having trouble with this notebook too.
Mine is a Dell Inspiron 5482 2-in-1 (touchscreen) with GPU.
The service tag is 73J1VW2.
It turns on, consumption around 0.80A, then turn off again, after 3-4 seconds.
My original BIOS is here and I'd really appreciate your help tho!...

Re: HP 840 G1 is not in committed state
I've tried to roll back the BIOS version using the BIOS UPDATE on BIOS SETTINGS.
It worked perfectly.
Thank you for all support!...

Re: HP 840 G1 is not in committed state
Hi Vesko!
I'm from Brazil and i'm having some trouble with my HP G840 G1 because it's taking too much time to appear the HP logo.
I've already overwrote the original BIOS of my notebook, but can I fix this long boot time with the .bin that I've installed?
I can upload it here now. Please help me ...
