  • Re: Dell 2007fpb no power

Just received the data sheet on the chip I need, discontinued of course. Got it straight from Fuji Electronics, any help finding a replacement?
    thanks...

8pin ic is 200A6. I found the data sheet on it relatively easily. Do I need to remove it to test it? What is the correct way to test it?
Which is the Vin? On the board there is zero resistance between pin 4grnd and 6Vcc.

I found the correct rating of r613 = 200ohm fellow on ebay had one so I asked him to take picture of it for me.

I contacted a distributor of Fuji Electric on the mosfet, they have yet to get back to me.

Yes the number is correct, the closest thing to the number I can find is 2sk3547 which is some n channel smd, I need a through hole.
I'll admit I know next to nothing about mosfets, it is the fellow circled red in the attached image, I'll try to get an image showing all the text on the chip....

I take that back, the gsib4a60 the leads are 7.7mm apart, the closest I can find then is GBL06-E3/45 and the leads are 5.3mm apart, guess I can bend them some.

Alright I have found a new rectifier KBL06-E4/51 which is the closest replacement I could find for GSIB4A60.
The Mosfet I am having a hard time finding a data sheet on, the part number is 2SK3548.

This just makes me mad, Ive discovered that the short also blew out the large mosfet which is what caused the resistor to smoke, I had circled the resistor in red in the bottom image.
While I was figuring out why on earth the resistor smoked the bridge rectifier also went bad on me. lol I am about ready to toss this whole monitor.

So in other words my screwing around caused the good powersupply to go kaput and the problem was likely elesewhere.

So while trying to do further testing I accidentally shorted out the board and blew the fuse, after replacing the fuse resistor 613 smoked on me. Of course I did not take pictures before doing all this so I have no idea the correct rating resistor 613 is supposed to be....

started a topic Dell 2007fpb no power

    Dell 2007fpb no power

Monitor does not light up anything, acts as though no power to device.

Opened up and was able to get a positive 20v and that is it. I believe I should also be getting a 12v or at least 5v as well. No apparent bad parts that I can see, does anybody have a good place where I can request a schematic or anything for this monitor?

  • Re: Optiquest Q19wb "No Signal"

You are testing this while connected to a working computer like your desktop correct? so there is a good signal going to the monitor, but the monitor does not see it.

  • Re: Viewsonic VA550 15" Flat LCD - won't turn on

This monitor takes a powerbrick right? When you get a multimeter measure the voltages and compare them to what is stated as output on the brick.

Try using a flashlight to the screen while connected to the computer and see if there is an image produced and no backlight.

Also this doesn't look so good or was it burned like that when assembled?...

Please post images of the front and rear of the boards in your monitor.
What are the voltages you are getting from the power board?

  • Re: Viewsonic ve710b question

So could someone tell me, is it ok to run without the 470uf 25v capacitor?

Or what could be causing it to kick the backlights off after two seconds.

images of front and rear of board
This board says va721 on it, but is out of a ve710b monitor.

I have found that every ve710b monitor that was manufactured in July of 2005 has this board in it.
Notice the really large replacement cap , I acquired a large bag of nichicon 1000uf 25v capacitors and have not gotten around to buying smaller ones....

The picture and schematic are not exact with the board I am having trouble with. The board I am having problems with is a newer version and I am unable to find any information online for it.

On the board I am having issues with.
    C823- is 470uf 25v
    C825- is 470uf 16v
    C828- is 1000uf
    C824- is removed

I will take a picture of the board I am having issues with and upload it tonight...

  • Viewsonic ve710b question

Hello all, figured I would post my question on here to see if anyone could help.

I have several ve710b monitors I have been working on and have come across 3 different power/inverter designs.
The attached schematic and image are for the version that I have been able to successfully repair just by replacing the circled (red) capacitors.

The problem I am having is with a version that has removed the items circled (blue) and several of the capacitors have different ratings.
After replacing all the same caps on this board with new the monitor has the backlight...
