My First Steps in Electronics

Hello everyone,

I would like to share a little about how I started in the world of electronics. My very first steps were repairing televisions. At the beginning, it was a challenge, but I quickly realized how much I enjoyed learning how things worked and bringing devices back to life.

After that, my interest grew, and I began repairing all kinds of electronic equipment, not only televisions. Each project gave me more confidence and made me more curious about the technology behind these devices.

To strengthen my knowledge, I later decided to take an in-person course in electronics. This allowed me to gain a deeper understanding, improve my technical skills, and apply more professional methods to my repairs.

What started as a hobby has turned into a real passion, and I am excited to continue learning and sharing experiences with others in this field.

Bonjour tout le monde,

Tout nouveau sur le groupe je découvre le monde de la modification et de l'amélioration du matériel électronique.
Ma première conquête a été de modifier une ps5 fat kiosk en ps5 fat standart qui fonctionne a merveille avec modification du NOR en changeant le bon octet.
À la base je suis mécanicien sur engin travaux publique donc cela ne me change pas trop ( c'est moins salissant forcément)

Hi my name is Simon , I am not a professional technician - only work on my own household problems and projects. I like to fix things instead of throwing them away. I do mild electronic repairs on cars, rc cars, televisions and electrical household appliances as well as lots of lithium battery and ebike builds and repairs. I have a stubborn attitude that treats repairs like a puzzle untill a solution is found but prefer to save time and money on the most direct repair possible. I arrived at this site after my TV stopped working and found a solution on this site which I am thankful for - I took it upon myself to propose a more direct solution/conclusion to save others some time.

Old time browser of these forums and first time posting!. Just wanted to thank anyone/everyone who has posted fixes, tests and any other useful information on PC and laptop repairs. It has helped me countless times and hopefully I can contribute (if a laptop or pc) comes my way for maintenance.

A big Hello!!! from Jalisco Mexico.
I´m new on the forum but old on computers and in some basic lectronic stuff, I start on the 80s with a beautiful Commodore VIC20 computer, then an Atari 800, then a C64 and then an Atari 800XL, since then I´m in this tech world with a few linux and windows computers.

Lately I´m experimenting with Proxmox, CasaOS, Home Assitant and my last project is make use of laptops with broken screens and convert them in Servers wall mounted on acrylic frames. I hope to learn more about electronics here in the forum. Thanks to all, and thanks for let me be a Badcaps member.
