Estoy abierto a conversar.

    ¡Gracias por recibirme!

          Hello everyone!

New member from Canada. Recently, thanks to various forums, I somehow managed to fix my 2nd computer from 1992: an Alaris Leopard LX motherboard with an IBM 486SLC2, which had a leaking VARTA battery... wired from the keyboard socket to the keyboard controller, and it came back from the dead. I remember overclocking my first laptop, the CTX EzBook 700E, which fried the AMD K6-2, and then returning it to Costco; the clerk was perplexed. The following week I think they completely removed it from the shelves.

Thanks again for accepting new members; it's greatly appreciated, and I'm always eager to learn new stuff as well as helping others to the best of my knowledge.

Hi everyone. I found this place with the help of a nice person on Reddit. I’m trying to fix my sons GPU and needed to know the specs on a part that needs replacing. I tried contacting EVGA directly but they told me they do not provide schematics or specs on any parts. Well that’s really it for me. Wish me luck and thanks for having this valuable information online for us to use.

                Good evening, all.

My first computer was the mighty TI 99-4/A. I've been playing with electronics ever since. Looking to get more involved in the repair side.

                    Hey folks! I’m Neir.

A bit about me: I’m currently wrapping up my degree in Production Engineering at CEFET-RJ, and I’ve got a long road behind me as a offshore rig inspector. I’ve worked in several departments where I audit drilling units to ensure they meet technical, legal, and contract standards. I’ve seen it all: blowouts, critical failures, scorched panels, and components that not even the OEM manuals explain properly. 😤🔩

I spent over 15 years working with electronic components of BOPs (NOV, HMH, Cameron), handling preventive and condition-based maintenance, critical system inspections, and root cause analysis. I live with one foot on the rig floor and the other buried in API specs, NORSOK standards, and the weirdest Cameron manuals you can imagine.

Hi all, I am blk…feel like I am joining very late. I have been playing with electronics ever since the early 00’s. I worked as a software tech for a few years during my university studies in renewable engineering. After that I have been working in electrical and electronics repairs for about 15 years now. Still a lot to learn…. So I am looking forward to speaking to everyone and exchanging knowledge as I hope that I myself can have contributions here
