Hi,
I'm from Zurich and I stumbled over the forum a short while ago since I am very interested in low level firmware and device freedom.
I own some Intel MacBook Pro's and while I've known their schematics for a long time I was amazed to find even board views in this forum.
Much more puzzled was I however when I saw the Lenovo ThinkPad SVP removal being applied even onto fairly new ThinkPads, usually with great success.
I was made aware of the hack after I recently came to witness it being performed IRL by colleagues.
Today I finally signed up since I pursue to understand everything very diligently from a technical perspective! That includes seemingly forbidden hacks like mentioned bypass.

Hi all,
My name is Steve Elliott and I'm a semi retired mechanical design engineer.
I have working experience in a lot of disciplines except electronics so I'm hoping to gain some knowledge from this forum.
I'm having an issue with repairing a Sony but I'll wait until I'm eligible to start a new thread to ask my questions.
Thanks

Hello from Brazil – BIOS troubles got me here!
Hey folks,
I'm from Brazil and I've recently joined this great community while searching for help with a BIOS recovery issue on a laptop. I'm trying to bring back to life a GIGABYTE G5 KF5 notebook that failed after a BIOS update.
I'm not a full-time technician, but I love learning and fixing electronics, especially laptops. I've recently started experimenting with BIOS programmers and board repair — which led me here after digging through a ton of forums.
My background is in design, but I've always been a curious tinkerer. I enjoy diagnosing problems and learning from people who know way more than I do — so I guess I've found the right place 😄
Anyway, just wanted to say hi, and I'm looking forward to learning (and hopefully sharing) as I go.
Thanks for having me!
– Eduardo julio
