HI everyone. I'm a retired engineer trying to fix an ASUS FX505DT that won't power up. It seems to have a big load (not quite a short) on the 1.8V power bus. By the time it reaches the BIOS SPI flash chip, it's only 1.4V, which is too low, I think, for the BIOS flash to be read. So, I'm looking for documentation and/or ideas.
