Hi everyone!

I'm Ignacio, a programmer from Argentina with a growing interest in electronics and hardware repair. My background is mainly in software development — I work with C++, Qt, and I'm also into Linux (currently running Fedora with an AMD RX 5700XT). Lately, I've been exploring OpenCL and low-level programming, and now I'm diving into the world of electronics troubleshooting and repair.

I came across Badcaps while researching common motherboard issues and was impressed by the knowledge shared here. I'm looking forward to learning more about diagnosing and fixing faulty components, and hopefully contributing as I gain experience.

Outside of tinkering with electronics, I'm developing a management app for a local pet shop, and I'm always on the lookout for new tech challenges.

Давно это было. Потом пришли IBM PC и пошло поехало. Сейчас занимаюсь много чем, где-то ремонтом, где-то созданием своих конструкций, но всё для себя и друзей, немного 3d печатью, стараюсь много читать и не только мануалы, но и художественную, научно-популярную литературу.

I'm more of a software guy (my day job) but like to f around with hardware when I get the chance or I'm bored.
I know just enough to be dangerous, but still every much a hobbyist. Have been interested in electronics since I was a kid.

This forum seems actually nice, unlike most, which only seem to focus on selling you a subscription.
